This course is designed for DJs who already have a foundational understanding of mixing, equipment, and track flow.
If you’re brand new to DJing, we recommend starting with the Workroom: Foundations Track, where you’ll learn everything you need to feel confident behind the decks.Once you complete that track (or demonstrate equivalent experience through a readiness check), you’ll be fully prepared to join this Performance Course (Showcase Track).
-
That’s great — this container is built for you. The Performance Course (Showcase Track) is designed for DJs who already know the basics and want to refine their storytelling, flow, and stage presence.
Even experienced DJs benefit from personalized creative direction, intentional feedback, and the opportunity to perform within a supportive cohort.
If you’re unsure whether this course is the right fit, you can submit a short recorded mix for a readiness check — we’ll help you determine which Workroom Track best meets your current goals.
-
All sessions, including your 1:1s and group meetup will be held at our private creative studio on O‘ahu. This is a space we’ve built for our work. The exact location will be shared upon acceptance into the program.
-
We understand that life happens — things come up, and sometimes you need space. Our priority is always to support you in a way that feels realistic and aligned.
That said, consistency and presence are key to your growth and to maintaining the integrity of the container. If we notice ongoing absences or lack of engagement, we’ll check in first to see what support you need.
Depending on the situation, we may mutually decide that it’s best for you to pause and reapply for a future cohort when you’re in a better place to commit fully.
-
You’ll have 1 private session per week (90 minutes) plus practice or music discovery in between. We do recommend practicing outside of the container for at least an hour each week.
-
You’ll perform a 15-20 minute set that you’ve built over the course of the container at an external venue. It will be recorded and serve as an audition to potential event promoters.
-
Yes. Just apply and select payment plan.
-
Once you apply, we’ll review your answers to see if the vibe and goals are aligned. If it feels like a fit, we’ll follow up with next steps to confirm your spot.
-
The audition is built into the experience — it’s not about competition, it’s about growth.
During the container, each student will perform their full set in front of the cohort in a supportive, feedback-based session. You’ll receive detailed guidance on transitions, flow, and presence, and you’ll also learn from seeing how your peers express their styles.
After the cohort audition, select students will be invited to the Workroom Showcase, where they’ll perform live and receive their professional media kit.
-
Every student in the Performance Course completes a full set and receives personalized feedback throughout the container — the Showcase is just one part of the journey.
If you’re not selected this round, you’ll still leave with a refined set, a clear creative direction, and tools to continue growing as an artist.
We understand that everyone has a lot going on in their lives, Many students return for future cohorts and can re-audition once they’ve had more time to develop their flow and sound.
